It’s time for another Monthly Merchandise Report! This month we’re headed over to Epcot and my favorite store to shop when I don’t know what I am looking for as a souvenir–Mouse Gear. Here’s what I found on a recent morning stroll. Remember, many of these items can be found around Disney property and also through the Shop Parks app.
My daughter lived for these little toy figurines when she was younger. The escapades that Mickey and friends had as they toured the World of Lego, Giant Play Kitchen Universe, and Back Porch Kingdom had to be some great stories to tell.
We’re on the verge of a rush of merchandise for Toy Story Land, and so we’ll see plenty more interesting items in months to come. But this bucket of Little Green Men? If only there was some other toy men that came in a bucket, or something that came in a barrel that would fit in the Toy Story world…
Are tsum tsums on the way out? If so, don’t tell Derek. But it looks like the latest in compact plush is Ufufy. Anyone know how to pronounce that one?
I have a fond recollection of my doctor’s office as a kid having a bunch of large plastic Mickey banks. It’s neat to see that everything old is new again.
Months ago, I spotted these plush Mickey Bars and Dole Whip characters at The Emporium. I’m guessing that the line was successful, as we now have new additions….
Plush Cupcake, Plush Caramel Apple….
Plush Mickey Pretzel, and…
Plush Minnie Macaron. What do you think? Cool or creepy?
Speaking of plush toys, my daughter has largely aged out of Disney Junior shows, but if she hadn’t, I’d be thinking about these cuties from Elena. Aren’t they adorable?
In the adorable category, Flower and Garden merchandise is still available, including this cute shirt featuring everyone’s favorite purple dragon. I’m always hopeful that more Figment merchandise means he’ll be around for years to come.
If you want Figment without a Flower and Garden tie-in, this shirt caught my eye.
For cuteness in the kids’ department, this shirt was one I seriously thought about buying.
I also liked this eye chart style shirt, but Mickey looks a little creepy…and not because of the glasses. What do you think?
Worried about opening day crowds for Toy Story Land? Disney’s got a shirt for that.
You probably have a few more months before all the 2018 merchandise heads off to the Outlets. I like the design on this one, but it reminds me of California Adventure for some reason.
For the eight people in the world who don’t own them, here’s your Rose Gold Spirit Jersey supply check.
Already got rose gold? Good thing, because that’s sooo last month. Everyone who’s anyone is now buying the Millennial Pink Spirit Jersey. It’s like the rose gold, but more faded and less sparkly.
If you’re looking for extreme Princess purses, Disney has you covered. (It’s my pick for coming soon to an Outlet near here…)
You don’t see a whole lot of Bambi merchandise these days. I thought this purse was pretty nice because it’s really understated and classic.
Speaking of classy, what do you think about these espresso cups? I love the design, but I need my mega-sized mugs in the morning.
With the Solo movie coming up, merchandise has started appearing. I can’t imagine any kid wearing these jackets in the summer, though.
Utini! (Seriously, what else needs to be said?)
The build-your-own lightsaber station is a neat idea for Star Wars fans, but it certainly takes up a lot of room in the store.
And I guess it isn’t too early to start rolling out the ol’ red, white, and blue for Bastille Day, yes?
Yeah, yeah, it’s the All-American Mickey line, so I guess it really is ready for your July 4 planning. Who isn’t ready for summer, though? (Hint: Floridians–winter down here is awesome!)
And one last item that most people can relate to.
That’s it for this month. What items did you see that are on your must-buy list? Got an idea of what park I should window shop at next? Let me know in the comments.
