Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges
Nothing beats a the heat quite like a water ride. In Orlando there is only one that combines the thrills, sets, characters, and the WATER quite like Popeye at Islands of Adventure. Popeye is taking you on a boating tour to Paradise Island but Bluto sabotages the route and sends you to Hurricane River. Along the way you go through caves, boat washing stations, rapids, fight a giant Octopus, and have to save Olive Oyl.
Popeye defines “you will get wet/you may get soaked” and is the perfect ride to cool down in the park. It is best to ride Popeye after experiencing the attractions in Marvel Super Hero Island but before you head back to the hotel for a quick change. If going through the rinse cycle is not your style, make sure to check out the “Me Ship, The Olive” which allows you to fire water cannons at riding guests.
Magician Rob Lake will be performing at the Hard Rock Live on June 2 at 7:00 p.m. Rob is the youngest recipient of the Merlin Award and will whisk away the crowd with the largest touring illusion show in the world. Rob is offering Touring Plans readers with the discount code “MAGIC”, good for 10% off tickets on Ticketmaster.
