In Case You Missed It: News and Rumors – Week of May 18, 2018

So, it’s time to debate the important things in life. Which is it? Yanny or Laurel? While I know it’s probably Laurel, I heard Yanny the first time, but Laurel the second time I tried it out. So, that’s bizarre….

This week, see what new item people at Disneyland are losing their mind over (trust me…if I could get out to Disneyland, I would have one of these!), learn what TV game show is coming back and you could be a part of it18, and more. Let’s get to it!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

Well, a few weeks ago it was the Alien popcorn bucket, this week it’s the Infinity Gauntlet Cup….and I have to admit, this one is pretty cool. I can see why it’s already sold out.

The big news from the week? It was all about the Maleficent dragon catching on fire during the Festival of Fantasy Parade. It was literally everywhere. I couldn’t escape the news. I’m so glad no one got injured during this crazy incident.

Executives at the Walt Disney Company have discussed bringing John Lasseter back to the company in a new role that would reduce his managerial power but allow him to retain creative influence.

Are you excited about the upcoming royal wedding? Well, you’ll want to head to Epcot to pick up some items emblazoned with Prince Harry and Megan Markle on them. These items can be found at the United Kingdom Pavilion. Which one would you want to pick up?

By the time all is said and done, Avengers: Infinity War could top 2 billion. (Yep…with a B) in worldwide global box office. Woah!

Did you love Deal or No Deal? The popular game show is returning to television and it will be filmed at Universal Orlando Resort! If you want to participate or be part of the audience, here’s more info.

The third house has been announced for Halloween Horror Nights and if you went to the event last year, this one should be a bit familiar… Trick ‘r Treat will be a full blown maze this year. Last year’s scare zone was one of the best scare zones, so it will be interesting to see how they pull off a whole house around this concept.

In Case We Missed It

What did we miss? Attach your ideas to a Mickey Mouse Cooler Backpack (thinking that this would be the perfect thing to bring in cold bottles of water to the park!) and send it to blog@touringplans.com with the words “In Case You Missed It” in the subject line.
