#Ask It Results: Bring Back a Character Meet and Greet

Last week, we talked about characters you’d like to see return to the parks. There are so many choices, but of the ten we gave you, two pulled in more than 50% of the total votes. So without further ado, here are you choices for characters you’d like to meet again:

RESULTS

Dreamfinder and Figment – 160✅
Robin Hood and Friends – 131
Roger and Jessica Rabbit – 48
Merlin – 39 TIE
Bianca and Bernard (The Rescuers) – 39 TIE
Three Little Pigs – 29 TIE
Tarzan and Jane – 29 TIE
Duffy – 24
Other – 16
Clarice – 1

Dreamfinder and Figment are a no-brainer for anyone who remembers Journey into Imagination V1.0. We don’t have rights to this fabulous photo of Richard Nixon and his grandchild with Dreamfinder and Figment, but you must see it. I too am tanned, rested, and ready for this return.

We had some great comments last week. Several of you mentioned the various Ducks you’d like to see. To be honest, they started off on the list until eagle-eye Traman noted on Twitter that we’re getting a bunch of them back for the Dino-Riffic Dance Party at Animal Kingdom, a new entertainment option that Disney is torturing Brian with by continually changing its name. Look for Launchpad McQuack and Scrooge McDuck there. I’m only vaguely familiar with DuckTales (because I was in college when it came out) but a Wikipedia search tells me, you’ll probably find what you’re looking for there.

In fact, putting together the list of contenders was a whole back and forth of “Wait, they’re not out anymore?” and “What’s a Sora?” and “Is Mickey at the Studios now still Sorcerer Mickey?”

So there are your votes. Thanks for all the comments and don’t forget to vote in this week’s poll.

  • My kids would love to see Robin Hood and the gang! They’ve asked me multiple times why he’s not there! Glad to see others have the same thought 🙂

  • DuckTales is back and better than ever. Totally made for us young GenXer/older Millenial parents. I highly recommend! (But I digress . . . )

    • I couldn’t get into it. It felt slow, which is weird for a kids’ cartoon show.

  • Clarice deserved more than one measly vote! Dear Chip, see you tonight. Dear Dale, meet me tonight.

  • My boys used to love Duffy Bear. I hate to hear that he is not there anymore. I have a neat picture from the late 70’s of me with Tweedledum or Tweedledee. That was back when there were no lines. The characters just roamed freely and approached children.
