Walt Disney World Continues Dog-Friendly Resort Policy

Last year, the Walt Disney World Resort introduced a brand new dog-friendly pet policy. This was billed as a test, but if it went well, it was expected that the resort would continue to offer this option for Guests. Well, it would appear that the test went well because it was announced that they will continue to offer this pilot program.

The resorts that will offer dog friendly accommodations will include a pet-cleaning fee that must be paid per night of your stay. The following are the resorts available, plus the fee:

  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort $50/night
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort $50/night
  • Cabins at Disney’s Ft. Wilderness Resort $50/night
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort $75/night

Designated dog-friendly rooms are available to accommodate Guests traveling with up to two dogs per room. Do keep in mind that Guests who are traveling with their dogs must register them with the front desk, as well as adhere to the pet policies they will receive upon registration. Guests must be able to provide documentation that their dog’s vaccinations are up to date, upon request.

Don’t worry though, the majority of the resort will remain dog free, however, there are certain floors or sections of each of these four hotels that have been designated as dog-friendly. Those who would prefer to stay in a room in canine-free areas should make a request at the front desk.
