Disney Cruise Line: In The News

What a week with the opening of the early 2020 itineraries for booking! This week’s #AskIt wants to know – cruise or snooze? Go vote, and be sure to comment and tell us your deciding factor!

New Alex and Ani alert! A gorgeous new bangle is currently exclusive to the Dream and Fantasy – if you are sailing soon you will want to check this out.

The proposed development of Lighthouse Point keeps moving forward. Jeff Vahle, president of Disney Cruise Line, spoke with Tribune Business, and discussed in more detail the plans for using the land for both development and conservation, and the creation of jobs for the area. The goal would be to have ships visiting by 2022 or 2023. You can read a full recap of the latest details over here on the Disney Cruise Line Blog.

Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel.  There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book.  These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:

Captain’s Log: Important Tips and Information

Yesterday, the Disney Magic left New York, and tomorrow she will be the first of the Disney fleet to call on the gorgeous port of Bermuda! There will be a total of five sailings this fall to visit the island, all departing from New York. Next fall, she’ll visit on three New York sailings.

At just 21 square miles, Bermuda is a small territory but with much to offer its visitors. Bermuda is known for its comfortable fall climate, pastel-colored homes with white roofs, pink sand beaches, and magnificent blue waters.

If the water calls you, there is snorkeling not far from the port at Snorkel Park. If you want to explore the waters a bit deeper, there are numerous scuba sites around the island. Want to kick back and soak up the scenery? Horseshoe Bay has the pink sand and blue waters you’ve been dreaming of!

There is also plenty to do outside of the water. Explore the natural beauty of the Crystal Caves, spend a day with the sea life at the Bermuda Aquarium, take in the culture and history at The National Museum of Bermuda, or spend a day on the links at one of the world class golf courses.

Of course if you are in Bermuda, you may not be able to resist the draw of the Bermuda Triangle – and the overnight at the island is your chance for an evening cruise filled with tales of the triangle.

Adults 21 and up, close out your day in port with a sunset cruise to learn firsthand about Bermuda’s signature rum, Gosling’s Black Seal.

You can see Disney Parks Blog’s top 10 things to do on the island, or check out the full list of port adventures here.

Anyone cruising to Bermuda? Considering it for next year? Tell me in the comments!
