Universal Orlando Weekly Preview — October 13, 2018

We’re in the middle of Halloween Horror Nights, but Universal is looking towards 2019 as they announce their New Year’s Eve plans and tease the brand new Harry Potter coaster opening next year. All this and more in this week’s Universal Orlando Weekly Preview.

New Years Eve 2019

Ring in the new year at Universal Orlando with celebrations around the resort.

Universal Studios Florida throws an all-ages party with a midnight showing of Cinematic Celebration, live music, and characters at the Music Plaza Stage and Central Park. All of this is included in your price of admission to the park.

EVE returns to CityWalk with gourmet cuisine, live bands, adult drinks, and a champagne toast at midnight for those 21 years and older. Tickets are now available, and you can save $15 by purchasing prior to December 15.

All the Universal Orlando hotels are throwing their own special New Year’s Eve festivities. Check the Universal Orlando Holiday Events page for more information.

New Harry Potter Coaster Experience

Last year Dragon Challenge closed for a new Harry Potter coaster experience, and this past week Pottermore (the Harry Potter official website) released an official piece of concept art. While not much is shown, we can see the ruins of a castle, coaster track that appears to look like Cheetah Hunt, and some mythical creatures.

This new coaster will open in 2019 and we cannot wait to hear more!
