Disney After Hours Event Expanded

Have you experienced the Disney After Hours event at the Magic Kingdom yet? The hard ticket event currently allows ticket holders to experience the park with minimal Guests in the evening, after the park officially closes to regular day Guests. During Disney After Hours, Guests are able maximize their time in the park with quicker access to attractions and character greetings. In addition, Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and bottled beverages are available free of charge. You can even enter the park early – at 7:00 p.m. on the event night – before Disney After Hours begins.

During the event at the Magic Kingdom, attractions Guests can experience include Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, plus many more. Current new event nights include:

  • November 26
  • December 3
  • December 10
  • January 7
  • January 17
  • January 24
  • January 28
  • February 7
  • February 14
  • February 28
  • March 7

 

However, it’s not just the Magic Kingdom that’s offering up the Disney After Hours event anymore. Nope, both Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are going to be offering up their own versions of this special evening.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests an experience Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania!, Rockin’ Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and more. In addition, select quick-service food & beverage locations will also stay open for purchases throughout the night. Event nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be:

  • December 15
  • December 22
  • January 5
  • January 12
  • January 19
  • February 2
  • February 9
  • February 16
  • March 2
  • March 9
  • March 16
  • March 23
  • March 30
  • April 6
  • April 13

Moving over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests will be able to enjoy the Tree of Life Awakenings, Na’vi River Journey, Avatar Flight of Passage, and more. Select quick-service food & beverage locations will remain open throughout the night for purchases. Dates at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are:

  • December 18
  • January 8
  • January 16
  • January 22
  • January 31
  • February 5
  • February 6
  • February 12
  • February 13
  • February 19
  • February 26
  • March 5
  • March 20

Tickets for Disney After Hours events at the Magic Kingdom are currently on sale. Tickets for the events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will go on sale on November 15 and can be purchased by calling 407-939-7795.

Disney After Hours tickets cost $125 + tax for advance purchase and $129 + tax for day-of purchases. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders do receive a discounted price of $95 + tax.

  • I wish…once….they would publish how many tickets they sell for this event. I went one time, and it was a little more crowded than I had anticipated, and I think the “limited amount” is somewhere around “how many they can sell”. This will be another version of the holiday parties pretty soon.

    Its a GREAT idea, and if the crowds stay low, I’d pay to do it again. I think they should be more transparent about what they are selling though.

  • So…I have to pay more money per day now to visit a park in peak times (because of the new pricing structure) that’s open fewer hours because they’re hacking off hours at each end to charge me an extra $120+ for a few less crowded hours.
    And paying to park at the resort.
    No. Thank. You.
