Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!

Ports of Call

Disney Cruise Line: In The News

Disney Cruise Line is once again offering a 50% off deposit special. From now until February 15, you can pay just half of the regular required deposit on select cruises four nights or longer. This is only good for cruises departing from June 22, 2019 through May 30, 2020. The remaining deposit will be payable with the final balance.

Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel.  There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book.  These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:

Upcoming Entertainment

The following films are being shown aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships this month:

  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi
  • A Wrinkle In Time
  • Avengers: Infinity War
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story
  • Incredibles 2
  • Ant-Man and The Wasp
  • Christopher Robin
  • The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
  • Ralph Breaks the Internet
  • Mary Poppins Returns

For future reference, films debut on Disney Cruise Line the same day of their initial release in the United States. Films do vary by ship. Show times are available in your Personal Navigator or the official Disney Cruise Line app.

Captain’s Log: Important Tips and Information

Hard to believe that it is time to say goodbye to 2018 already! New Year’s festivities will begin during the day onboard and last into the night. The final themed menu of the year will be served in the main dining rooms. Family friendly parties will begin early in the evening – a great opportunity for those with little cruisers who may not quite make it until midnight! Kids, tweens, and teens will all have their own celebrations in their respective clubs. The big celebration will take place up on the deck. Enjoy a stage show, a countdown to midnight, and then start off the new year with a bang with a special fireworks display! It wouldn’t quite be a New Year’s celebration without party hats and noisemakers, and DCL will have you covered! And to help, um, enjoy, all those noisemakers, complimentary champagne will be served to the grown ups. 🙂

Thanks for reading along this year – “sea” you in 2019!
