Rainbow Merchandise Now Available for Pride Month

A new line of rainbow-themed Disney merchandise has hit the shelves, just ahead of June’s pride month. Color me impressed that Disney is being open this year that the rainbow gear is indeed meant to be Pride merch, not just, “Oh hey, here’s a pretty rainbow.”

Disney recently earned a perfect score of 100 on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which evaluates corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer workplace equality.

I’m thrilled that they’re out and proud of their pride, and that they’re putting real resources behind their corporate values. Until June 30, 2019, Disney will donate 10% of the proceeds from purchases of the Rainbow Disney Collection to GLSEN, the leading education organization working to create safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ students.
