Recycled Seed Art Makes a Unique Animal Kingdom Souvenir

When it comes to unique souvenirs, Animal Kingdom is in the running for the theme park for the best options. On a recent trip, I stumbled upon these recycled seedpod birds — a wonderful eco-friendly gift with a lot of personality.

The birds are made from the Sterculia rogersii seed pods (also known as Ulumbu or African Star Chestnut) and are painted to look like a variety of birds.

Each piece of art retails for $12.99, and there are more than a dozen different kinds available. This selection was found at Ziwani Traders in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom.

What do you think of these as souvenirs? Let us know in the comments.
